An integral part of our daily wear, underwear deserves careful attention when it comes to finding the perfect fit for comfort and health. Let’s dive into some of the great benefits of seamless underwear.

The most important of the advantages is the unsurpassed comfort that it provides. Seamless underwear with no seams or tags fits snugly against the skin, eliminating the hassle of chafing or pinching. This is especially helpful for people with sensitive skin or people who often experience irritation from traditional underwear. In addition, seamless underwear often uses breathable materials such as cotton and spandex, which allow air to circulate more freely and keep you cool and comfortable throughout the day.

In addition to increased comfort, seamless underwear also boasts improved hygienic properties. The absence of seams and marks reduces areas where bacteria can accumulate, providing a longer feeling of freshness. By eliminating the buildup of odor-causing bacteria in hard-to-reach areas, seamless underwear contributes to an increased feeling of freshness and cleanliness. Plus, with superior craftsmanship and the use of better materials, seamless underwear has a longer lifespan, saving you money in the long run by reducing the frequency of replacements.

Care for seamless underwear: care guide

As seamless styles continue to dominate the lingerie industry for both men and women, proper care becomes critical to maintaining their durability and performance. Follow these important tips to keep your seamless underwear in perfect condition:

Gentle hand wash: Machine washing can damage the delicate fabric of seamless underwear, causing damage and unnecessary wear. Instead, choose a gentle hand wash using a mild detergent. Fill a basin with cold water and add a small amount of detergent. Shake your underwear gently and let it soak in for a short time. Rinse the fabric thoroughly with cold water to maintain the shape, elasticity and original color of the fabric.

Air Dry: Avoid using a dryer when drying seamless underwear, as high temperatures can shrink or damage the material over time. Instead, choose to air dry by hanging them on a clothesline indoors or laying them out on a clean, dry surface. Ensure proper ventilation to speed up the drying process and maintain the integrity of the fabric.

Separation is key: When washing seamless underwear, it is important to separate it from other garments, especially those with zippers, hooks, or rough textures. This prevents any potential snagging or damage to delicate fabrics, ensuring the longevity of your underwear.

Careful storage. Proper storage is critical to maintaining the shape and condition of seamless underwear. Fold them carefully and place them in a storage box or box away from direct sunlight and excessive heat. This will prevent any unnecessary stretching, fading or deterioration of the fabric.

Charming Conclusion: Seamless Underwear is Your Perfect Companion

Seamless underwear is a great choice for any wardrobe, seamlessly combining comfort, breathability and flexibility while maintaining its shape and elegance. Smooth fabric and a form-fitting cut will take the worry out of visible lines or creases, allowing you to confidently wear any outfit. Nebraska passes a law banning abortion after 12 weeks of pregnancy, adding to a growing list of state restrictions.

Republican Governor of Nebraska. On Monday, Jim Pillen signed into law a law banning abortion except after 12 weeks of pregnancy. The new law is just the latest in a series of strict abortion restrictions passed by individual states since Roe v. USA. Wade was overturned by the Supreme Court last summer.

Prior to the Supreme Court decision in Dobbs v. Jackson in June 2022, 18 Republican states in the south and west, such as Alabama, Idaho, Mississippi, and South Dakota, passed so-called “trigger laws” that abortion has been outlawed since the court’s verdict.

In recent months, eight other Republican-led states have passed new laws banning abortions at various stages of pregnancy.

Here’s a guide to the new abortion-restricting states passed since last summer:

Republican lawmakers in Nebraska’s unicameral legislature amend bill to ban sex-verification surgery for those under 19 and introduce new rules to limit access to hormone therapy and puberty-blocking drugs for trans youth and ban abortion after 12 weeks. There are exceptions for rape, incest, and when the mother’s life is in danger. Previously, Nebraska banned abortion after 20 weeks of pregnancy. An attempt in April to ban abortion fell by one vote after six weeks.

North Carolina

The House of Representatives and the State Senate overrode the governor’s veto on a party-line vote, with Republicans winning a three-fifths majority in both houses after one Democratic state representative switched parties. State law previously banned almost all abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy, and Cooper has spent the past week trying unsuccessfully to convince a single Republican to side with him and support his veto. North Carolina law previously banned almost all abortions after 20 weeks.

North Dakota

North Dakota passed a law on April 24 that almost completely bans abortion except for the first six weeks of pregnancy in cases of rape, incest and medical emergencies. After six weeks, only certain medical emergencies, such as an ectopic pregnancy, qualify for legal abortions. In March, North Dakota’s previous abortion ban, which was almost as far-reaching, was temporarily suspended by state supreme court while the legal challenge continues. There are no more abortion clinics in North Dakota. After Row vs. Wade was deposed, and the only abortion clinic in the state moved to Moorhead, Minnesota.

The law was signed in April. 14 from the governor. Ron DeSantis would ban abortion after six weeks of pregnancy, except for victims of rape or incest or women whose health is in danger. Those who wish to receive one of these exceptions will also need to present evidence. The new law will only go into effect if the existing 15-week ban is upheld by the state Supreme Court in the ongoing litigation. The state Supreme Court has a conservative majority.

Hoosier State became the first in the country impose new restrictions on abortion after the Dobbs solution. In August 2022, Gov. Eric Holcomb, a Republican, signed a bill banning abortion, with a few exceptions. Currently, abortions in Indiana are only permitted in cases of rape and incest in the first 10 weeks of pregnancy to protect the life or physical health of the pregnant woman, or if the fetus is diagnosed with a lethal anomaly. Doctors who perform illegal abortions should have their medical license revoked. Abortions can also now only be done in hospitals or hospital-owned outpatient centers – abortion clinics are no longer legally allowed to operate in the state. However, the application of the new law was blocked. pending the outcome of the trial. In January, the Indiana Supreme Court heard oral arguments in the case.

West Virginia

Last September, the governor of West Virginia. Jim Justice Republican signed the abortion law except in cases of rape or incest for up to eight weeks of pregnancy for adults and up to 14 weeks for minors. It allows abortion of a non-viable fetus or embryo, as well as in case of a medical emergency or ectopic pregnancy. Abortion providers not covered by these exceptions face up to 10 years in prison.

South Carolina

The state passed a 2021 trigger law similar to the measure DeSantis just signed in Florida — it would ban abortions after a fetus could be found to have heart activity about six weeks pregnant — but the state Supreme Court struck down the law in January , saying it violated the state constitution. So, in February, the State Senate passed a bill that its Republican majority hoped would be approved by the court: a ban on abortion after six weeks, but now allows abortions up to 12 weeks of gestation in cases rape, incest, fatal fetal anomaly and when the patient’s health is at risk. However, the state House of Representatives passed an even stricter law banning abortion. from the moment of conception, with a limited number of exceptions. The two houses disagree, and the stalemate has upheld the state’s current ban on abortion after 20 weeks of pregnancy. A bill in the state House of Representatives to make abortion a potentially capital murder is also pending, though nine of its original 24 GOP co-sponsors refused to support last month.

In March, Wyoming became the first the state bans abortions performed with the help of oral drugs, which determine the majority of abortions nationwide. The state has already registered a total ban on abortion, but is currently barred by a court order from enforcing it. The same abortion pill is at the center of federal lawsuits as a Trump-appointed federal judge in Texas recently overturned the drug’s FDA approval.

Earlier this month, Idaho became the first state to criminalize helping a minor get an abortion in another state, and those found guilty of breaking the law face two to five years in prison. The law allows the state attorney general to initiate a criminal case if local prosecutors refuse to do so. It also allows family members of a pregnant child or the person who impregnated her to file claims against health care providers providing her with abortion services for up to $20,000 in damages.

Brain and spinal cord implants allow paralyzed man to walk naturally again

Gert-Jan Oskam was living in China in 2011 when he was involved in a motorcycle accident that left him paralyzed from the hips down. Now, with a combination of devices, scientists have given him control over his lower body again.

“For 12 years I have been trying to get back on my feet,” Mr Oskam said at a press briefing on Tuesday. “Now I have learned to walk normally, naturally.”

V study Published Wednesday in the journal Nature, Swiss researchers described implants that provided a “digital bridge” between Mr. Oscar’s brain and his spinal cord, bypassing damaged areas. The discovery allowed 40-year-old Oscar to stand, walk and climb a steep slope with just a walker. More than a year after the implant was placed, he retained these abilities and actually showed signs of neurological recovery, walking with crutches even when the implant was disabled.

“We captured Gert-Jahn’s thoughts and converted those thoughts into spinal cord stimulation to restore voluntary movement,” Grégoire Courtin, a spinal cord specialist at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne, who helped lead the research, said at a press briefing.

Jocelyn Bloch, a neuroscientist at the University of Lausanne who placed Mr. Oscar’s implant, added: “In the beginning it was pretty science fiction for me, but today it’s become true.”

Over the past decades, there have been a number of advances in the technological treatment of spinal cord injuries. In 2016, a group of scientists led by D. Kortin was able to restore the ability to walk in a paralyzed monkey, and also helped a person regain control over his crippled hand. In 2018, another group of scientists, also led by Dr. Cortin, came up with a way stimulate the brain with generators of electrical impulses, allowing partially paralyzed people to walk and ride bicycles again. last year, more advanced Brain stimulation procedures allowed paralyzed subjects to swim, walk, and ride a bicycle within one day of treatment.

Mr. Oskam had undergone stimulation treatments in previous years and even regained some of his ability to walk, but his improvement eventually stalled. At a press briefing, Mr. Oscar said that these stimulation technologies left him with the feeling that there was something alien about movement, an alien distance between his mind and body.

The new interface has changed that, he said: “Before, stimulation controlled me, but now I control stimulation.”

In the new study, the brain-spine interface, as the researchers have called it, took advantage of an artificial intelligence thought decoder to read Mr. Oscar’s intentions, detected as electrical signals in his brain, and correlate them with muscle movements. The etiology of the natural movement from thought to intention to action has been preserved. The only addition, as Dr. Curtin described it as a digital bridge connecting damaged parts of the spine.

Andrew Jackson, a neuroscientist at Newcastle University who was not involved in the study, said: “This raises interesting questions about autonomy and the source of commands. You keep blurring the philosophical line between the brain and technology.”

Dr. Jackson added that scientists in the field had theorized for decades about connecting the brain to spinal cord stimulators, but this was the first time they had achieved such success in a human patient. “Easy to say, much harder to do,” he said.

To achieve this result, the researchers first implanted electrodes into Mr. Oscar’s skull and spine. The team then used a machine learning program to watch which parts of the brain light up as it tries to move different parts of its body. This thought decoder could match the activity of certain electrodes with certain intentions: one configuration lit up whenever Mr. Oscar tried to move his ankles, another when he tried to move his hips.

The researchers then used a different algorithm to connect the brain implant to the spinal implant, which would send electrical signals to different parts of his body, causing movement. The algorithm was able to take into account small changes in the direction and speed of contraction and relaxation of each muscle. And because signals were sent between the brain and spine every 300 milliseconds, Mr. Oscar could quickly adjust his strategy based on what worked and what didn’t. During the first treatment session, he could twist his thigh muscles.

Over the next few months, the researchers refined the brain-spine interface to better match basic activities such as walking and standing. Mr. Oskam’s gait appeared to be somewhat healthy, and he was able to negotiate steps and ramps with relative ease, even after several months without treatment. Moreover, after a year of treatment, he began to notice clear improvements in his movements without the help of the brain-spine interface. The researchers documented these improvements in tests of exercise, balance, and walking.

Now Mr. Oskum can walk around his house, get in and out of his car, and stand at the bar for a drink. According to him, for the first time he feels that he is in control of everything.

The researchers acknowledged limitations in their work. Subtle intentions in the brain are difficult to discern, and while the existing brain-spine interface is suitable for walking, the same probably cannot be said for restoring upper body movement. The treatment is also invasive, requiring several surgeries and hours of physical therapy. The current system does not treat all cases of spinal cord paralysis.

But the team hoped that further advances would make the treatment more accessible and effective. “This is our true goal,” says the doctor. Cortin said: “To make this technology available worldwide to all patients who need it.”
